Happy Doctor

Ken F. Kelly, MD

Dr. Kelly is an Emergency Medicine physician. He started his career as a chemist and oncology researcher, attending National Institute of Health on an honors program, and was at the Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson in Philadelphia. He has been Medical Director for several ER programs and was Chief of Medicine at Swedish Hospital in Seattle.

It was in Seattle that Dr. Kelly built his first telehealth program in 1996, taking care of fishermen off the Bering Strait near Russia and out of Dutch Harbor, Alaska for the commercial fishing industry.

He built one of the nation’s first telemedicine stroke programs in New Mexico in 2013-16. Using these protocols built for Net Medical they were able to bring neurologists into remote hospitals and make accurate decisions to give clot busting medications to reverse strokes in a setting that was otherwise too remote to receive life-saving care. This program is the same now used by the University of NM in Albuquerque for the state of New Mexico.

In 2021, at the height of the COVID pandemic, with many patients dying of COVID, Doctors House Call (DHC) began its phase 1 beta test to treat severe COVID patients who had refused intubation with severe Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and were expected to die at home.

After a very successful phase one, with no deaths, and over 75 patients treated,iIt became clear there was a role for advanced physician lead care in the home using a cloud-based system.

It is from these telehealth experiences that Doctors House Call was conceived. With the help of the following people, Doctors House Call is now ready to begin its mission of changing the world of healthcare. From the convenience of a patient's home
